The issues of the circular economy and nature-based solutions have become central to European policies. Educating students and raising their awareness as “citizen scientists” is a very important starting point for the development of such policies in cities. The city of Turin has been carrying out projects and policies on these issues for years now.
One way to involve students is precisely to convey the importance of these issues through technology and the use of immersive technologies, which see the students as active protagonists also through storytelling and coding. The city wants to promote the development of new tools and innovative teaching approaches on these topics.
Hi Laura, I have been working on circular procurement in educational contexts, including how schools can buy ICT, furniture, and playgrounds in a circular way. I would be very interested in a project looking at the intersection between ICT and circular economy in education.
